Radey provides a wide range of labor and employment law services. From day to day compliance issues to the defense of employee litigation, the firm assists with every aspect of our clients’ labor relations and needs. We know that employee concerns and litigation must be addressed proactively and efficiently, with a view that each company’s employees are a valuable resource. We also know that most employee concerns can be resolved before they ripen into contentious, needlessly expensive disputes. Our goal is to resolve our clients’ employee concerns and assist in developing a long-term, harmonious relationship that fosters business opportunity, revenue and growth.
Employment Compliance, Policies and Training
Today’s employment laws are a complex maze that can ensnare the unwary employer. Whether your company is hiring, disciplining, reducing its workforce, closing its plants or responding to discrimination concerns, state and federal employment laws must be considered and implemented. We offer day-to-day assistance to HR professionals and address these concerns proactively.
We prepare employee policies, handbooks, executive compensation agreements, arbitration agreements, noncompete agreements, and all other contracts needed in today’s workplace. Here too, our goal is the avoidance of litigation and employment liability by effective management of employee concerns from the start.
We also offer comprehensive management training through on-site interactive seminars or web based media, depending upon your company’s particular needs. There is no substitute for training your company’s managers to recognize and resolve potential concerns.
EEOC, Wage and Hour, OSHA, and Other Regulators
Our employment lawyers have an established practice representing our clients before government regulators, like the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Florida Commission on Human Relations and United States Department of Labor. We have defended complex Wage and Hour investigations and EEOC on-site investigations. We have also defended numerous investigations from the EEOC or FCHR.
Employment Litigation
The centerpiece of the firm’s labor and employment practice is the defense of management in employment litigation. We have defended both public and private employers from individual employee claims of age, race, gender, religion, pregnancy and disability discrimination suits.
Similarly, we have enforced non-compete agreements, protected trade secrets and litigated large bonus entitlement claims from former chief executive officers and other high-ranking company officials. We defend Fair Labor Standards Act collective actions, as well as individual claims.
When employee concerns result in litigation, Radey is prepared and experienced. We aggressively defend employee litigation claims and represent a wide variety of industry sectors that must, from time to time, defend their management decisions. Employee litigation can be contentious and often disruptive to the balance of a company’s workforce. Experienced counsel understand these risks and implement strategies that vigorously defend companies while limiting ongoing disruption.
